HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time Senior Communications Consultant.
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Senior Communications Consultants are responsible for leading large communications plans projects with little to no oversight. They are a recognized expert in their area of communications and the parts of the business they support. They are also a key strategic contributor and planning lead.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Bachelor''s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field, or 4+ equivalent years of job-related experience.
5 years of communications, public relations, and/or journalism experience.
Proven experience adjusting communication content, style, and approach to meet the needs of diverse partners and audiences.
Extensive experience writing various formats of organizational communications such as emails, memos, blog posts, websites and/or intranet pages, newsletters, talking points, etc.
Familiarity and experience with AP style.
Previous accountability for managing budgets.
Broad and specialized experience with a variety of computer programs and technologies that support effective communications teams, including Microsoft suite.

Highly effective written communication and editing skills, such as ability to write concisely and with clarity, remain audience-centered, demonstrate strong spelling and grammar skills, and match the right tone for the message.
Demonstrates strong strategic thinking and problem solving.
Skilled at building constructive relationships with people both similar and different to self.
Skilled at recognizing interpersonal and group dynamics, with some previous experience responding to them effectively.
Strong presentation and persuasion or influencing skills.
Highly effective at seeking out news and information through many sources, and knows whether and how there might be story that will connect with a desired audience.
Strong understanding of own work and communication styles, with proven experience understanding others', including their leader's styles, and adjusting their approach accordingly, including how best to keep them informed and provide follow-up.
Ability to spot evolving organizational priorities and proactively present ideas and adaptive solutions to their leader.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Works well within a high-paced environment where good prioritization is required, and deadlines are essential.
Skilled at relying on a mixture of analysis, organizational expectations, wisdom, experience, and judgment when making decisions.
Takes responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures. Shows personal commitment and takes action to continuously improve.
