Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist in Tampa, FL. Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior B2B Collections Specialist to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced collections professional to manage complex accounts, build strong client relationships, and drive collection performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in accounts receivable, collections, client account management, and financial analysis within a professional services environment. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of high-value accounts, partner with internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues, negotiate payment arrangements when necessary, and contribute to process improvements that enhance cash flow and operational efficiency. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive client interactions with diplomacy and confidence. Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, internal stakeholders, and leadership to resolve outstanding payment issues
  • Manage a portfolio of high-dollar accounts, including aged receivables, credit balances, and unbilled work
  • Analyze account activity and develop strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding balances
  • Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding delinquent accounts
  • Negotiate payment plans and monitor compliance with agreed-upon terms
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding collections strategies and account resolution
  • Generate reports identifying delinquent accounts, collection trends, and at-risk receivables
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting timely billing and payment practices

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in B2B collections, accounts receivable, client account management, or related financial operations
  • Demonstrated success managing complex accounts and resolving challenging collection situations
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, billing processes, and collections best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, executives, and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, VLOOKUPs, and financial reporting

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
