Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 24 months experience with medical insurance, billing, clinical or outpatient coding.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Registered Health Information Technician Certification (RHIT), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician based (CCS-P), or National Healthcare Association Certification. (NHA)
