We are looking for dependable, quality-focused machinists who can work independently in a fast-paced precision-manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding Perform tool changes and machine offsets Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments Verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements Identify and correct machining or quality issues Complete required production and inspection documentation Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Support and assist less-experienced operators as needed Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Several years of CNC machining experience Advanced experience operating CNC mills or CNC lathes Setup experience strongly preferred Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment Ability to make offsets, change tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently Why Join Midwest Precision?
