Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist for a growing manufacturing company. Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: $25-32/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision parts.
  • Read and interpret customer and internal engineering drawings.
  • Measure finished parts to print specifications and make machine adjustments as needed.
  • Operate inspection equipment to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Work with CNC controls including Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Haas.
  • Install and touch off grinding wheels.
  • Utilize work shift offsets to reduce setup time between jobs.
  • Perform tool offsets and dial in machines during setup.
  • Measure critical part features including radii, lengths, steps, and other dimensions.
  • Compensate for thermal expansion to achieve precise final part geometry.
  • Monitor coolant concentration and maintain proper machine fluid levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas.
  • Strong blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and precision measuring skills.
  • Experience performing machine setups, tool offsets, and making adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Understanding of thermal expansion and its effects on part geometry.
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment.
  • GD&T certification is a plus.
  • Steel shop or metal fabrication experience is highly preferred.
