Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer Azure for a direct-hire, on-site position based in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will support enterprise network initiatives across on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environments, with a focus on secure hybrid connectivity, network modernization, and cloud migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching protocols for hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Azure networking services, including VNets, NSGs, and gateway connectivity.
  • Support network migration and large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability and reliable connectivity.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for network performance, routing, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topology changes, and implementation activities.
  • Participate in change management processes and production deployment activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior role supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.
  • Strong enterprise-level routing and switching expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking components: Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), VNet Peering, Network Security Groups (NSGs), User-Defined Routes (UDRs), Azure Load Balancers, and VPN Gateway or ExpressRoute.
  • Solid experience supporting hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, dynamic routing protocols, and advanced network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
  • Must be a local resident of New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA, or be able to work on-site in these locations.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus or Cisco Catalyst hardware.
  • Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
  • Knowledge of enterprise-grade DNS and load balancing solutions.
  • Background in supporting data center migrations or major infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Experience working within strictly change-controlled production environments.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700).
