    SUMMARYThe Senior Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate material inventory records, monitoring material movements, reconciling production and inventory transactions, and supporting site material balance processes. This position serves as a key link between Production, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Warehouse Operations to ensure inventory accuracy, material accountability, regulatory compliance, and reliable production reporting. The role analyzes raw material consumption, production yields, inventory variances, and product movements while supporting month-end inventory reconciliation and continuous improvement initiatives.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay include, but are not limited to, the following:General administrative tasks for plant.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly material balance reconciliations.Monitor raw material receipts, consumption, production output, transfers, and shipments.Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes of material variances.Reconcile production reports against inventory and warehouse transactions.Maintain inventory accuracy within SAP and other inventory systems.Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations.Prepare material balance and inventory variance reports.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end inventory reporting.Coordinate with Operations to verify production data accuracy.Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.Assist with bi-weekly payroll.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and material accountability.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required.5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, production reporting, logistics, clerical work in a production facility or manufacturing administration.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Accounting preferred.Experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments preferred.Other duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk and climb; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and infrequently lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently make minor decisions with limited information, general decisions in the absence of specific directions, and perform activities requiring sustained concentration.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working in an office, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. During active remediation additional requirements may include fit testing for respiratory equipment, chemical suits, face shields, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs.
