Our client is a full-service engineering, procurement and construction firm known for its integrity and reliability, achieving project-wide efficiency and economies of scale.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industrial foundation design, engineering calculations, and technical design oversight. This position requires extensive hands-on engineering experience and the ability to independently review, evaluate, and ensure the technical accuracy of civil/structural engineering deliverables.

Job Description

• Provide senior-level engineering support and technical oversight for civil/structural design activities.
• Perform, review, and validate engineering calculations for heavy foundations and reinforced concrete structures.
• Review engineering drawings, design packages, and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
• Support the design of heavy equipment foundations, structural foundations, and other industrial concrete systems.
• Identify and resolve technical design issues through coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable industry codes, project standards, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations throughout the engineering design process.

Skills Required

• 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, preferably within major EPC projects.
• Extensive experience with heavy foundation design in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or similar industrial facilities.
• Strong proficiency in structural engineering calculations and reinforced concrete foundation design.
• Demonstrated ability to independently review and evaluate engineering drawings and calculations.
• Experience providing technical oversight and coordinating engineering deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of applicable structural design codes and engineering standards.
• Ability to work on-site in the Houston engineering office on a 5x10 schedule.
• Previous LNG or major energy infrastructure project experience.
• Familiarity with ACI, ASCE, and applicable industrial engineering standards.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale EPC engineering teams.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 10 hours per day (50 hours weekly).
