Founded in 1979, we have employees in more than 23 locations serving clients across the United States and overseas.Job DescriptionSenior Civil Engineer / Project Manager with twelve plus years of experience to manage engineering projects from entitlements through construction administration at our San Diego office.Compensation and BenefitsExpected Base Salary: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 based on experience.Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.Competitive end‑of‑year discretionary bonus based on company, team, and personal performance.Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).401(k) with maximum of 5% contribution matching with 9% employee contribution.This position is not eligible for sponsorship. No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. Registration in California preferred.Minimum of 12 years of professional land development experience, including:Managing multiple, concurrent projects.Leading design team efforts.Successfully managing project budgets and schedules.Interfacing with a multi‑discipline design team.Mentoring junior staff.Client management.Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations. Stormwater experience in San Diego County preferred.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.Specification preparation experience preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to foster long‑term client relationships.Excellent time management skills.San Diego experience and relationships a plus.Additional InformationCoffman Engineers focuses on employee growth and offers an excellent salary/benefits package, a desirable location, and a professional office environment.
