Position Specific Description

Our Operating Fleet Sourcing Department within the Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain Business Unit is seeking a Senior Category Specialist to join the team in Juno Beach, FL.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Ability to interpret spend and market data, forecast demand and industry trends, and translate analyses into clear recommendations and measurable value-including cost reduction, cost avoidance, and rebate opportunities.
  • Skilled at forming a hypothesis, pressure-testing it, and executing with conviction. The Sr. Category Specialist will operate with a high degree of ownership, bringing both analytical rigor and commercial creativity to a function that rewards critical thinking and measurable results.
  • Proven experience planning and delivering end to end category initiatives, managing timelines, dependencies, and risks while maintaining a consistent intake to award cadence.
  • A results driven approach with a track record of delivering savings, improving supplier performance, and mitigating risk through disciplined reporting and follow through.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect category strategies to P&L impact, business risk, and operational outcomes.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders across business units, leadership, and suppliers by translating business objectives into sourcing strategies and driving cross functional alignment.
  • High capability in working cross-functionally and engaging senior stakeholders. This position's work is often the catalyst to additional important business decisions, so a proven track record of engaging senior leaders is critical.
  • Deep supplier management experience including market mapping, developing strategic partnerships, executing RFx events, evaluating bids, negotiating pricing/terms/SLAs, and managing performance scorecards and corrective actions.
  • High proficiency with analytical tools and the ability to convert complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

Job Overview

This role develops and refines defined category strategies for critical and/or more complex categories. Employees in this role lead negotiations and identify improvements to secure cost savings and improve quality and efficiency. An individual in this role would also be expected to mentor category specialists and establishes benchmarks and expectations for category strategies.

  • Aligns with BUs to collect requirements
  • Develops and maintains strategic relationships with critical suppliers

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelors or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
