Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Location: Glen Mills, PA 19342 Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite | Tuesday & Friday remote
Overview
Axalta is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager Site Services to lead procurement and category management activities supporting site services across the Americas. This position will manage approximately $68M in annual spend and work closely with senior leadership, operations, business units, and suppliers to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, drive cost savings, and improve supplier performance.
The category includes on-site services for manufacturing facilities such as waste management, piping, landscaping/gardening, canteen services, and other facility-related services.
Job Description
  • Manage approximately $68M in site services spend across the Americas, reporting to the Director of Indirect & Logistics Procurement Americas.
  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies based on current and future business needs.
  • Manage and optimize the supplier base for quality, service, technology, and value (QSTV).
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate and second-source suppliers.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and implement supply agreements with favorable commercial terms.
  • Partner with senior-level stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Functionally supervise a Sourcing Specialist supporting category initiatives.
  • Identify and manage global sourcing and procurement projects.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of cost-savings, productivity, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and execute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers and address performance gaps.
  • Manage supplier performance issues through root-cause analysis, corrective actions, claims, and other appropriate measures.
  • Create and maintain e-Sourcing events and catalogs.
  • Monitor procurement channels and resolve process gaps to improve policy compliance and actively managed spend.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of Procurement/Category Management experience, including procurement of on-site/site services.
  • Strong knowledge of the source-to-contract procurement process.
  • Experience using procurement e-Sourcing tools.
  • Experience partnering with senior-level leaders and stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong internal and external negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to independently manage suppliers, sourcing strategies, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, including international travel.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Economics or Engineering.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
Preferred Skills
  • SAP Ariba experience.
  • Experience leading diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and service-oriented approach.
