Description
Position Summary:
Serve as the primary contact for business operations and stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external customers.
Lead and mentor other Category Managers.
Manage supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term relationships.
Support operations with seamless procurement and supply chain solutions.
Drive strategic sourcing and category management initiatives.
Analyze supplier performance, pricing, contracts, and market trends.
Develop and execute long-term category strategies.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract requirements.
Lead technology implementations within Procurement.
Manage supplier reviews, negotiations, corrective actions, and cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for leadership.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Must Have):
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years in a senior or lead role in category/commodity management (services, software, manufacturing, or MRO with indirect spend).
Strong knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and supply chain best practices.
Experience with category management and strategic sourcing methodology.
Proficiency in ERP systems.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
Certifications: CPM, CPSM, APICS.
Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis tools).
Experience leading supplier QBRs, negotiations, and corrective actions.
