    Description

    Position Summary:
    • Serve as the primary contact for business operations and stakeholders.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external customers.
    • Lead and mentor other Category Managers.
    • Manage supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term relationships.
    • Support operations with seamless procurement and supply chain solutions.
    • Drive strategic sourcing and category management initiatives.
    • Analyze supplier performance, pricing, contracts, and market trends.
    • Develop and execute long-term category strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract requirements.
    • Lead technology implementations within Procurement.
    • Manage supplier reviews, negotiations, corrective actions, and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for leadership.
    • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications (Must Have):
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
    • 5+ years in a senior or lead role in category/commodity management (services, software, manufacturing, or MRO with indirect spend).
    • Strong knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and supply chain best practices.
    • Experience with category management and strategic sourcing methodology.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems.
    • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
    Preferred (Nice to Have):
    • Certifications: CPM, CPSM, APICS.
    • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis tools).
    • Experience leading supplier QBRs, negotiations, and corrective actions.
