About the Role
A leading investment and technology organization is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead procurement strategy across high-performance computing infrastructure used in advanced data center environments.
This role focuses on managing the sourcing and supplier strategy for critical infrastructure that powers large-scale compute environments, including GPU clusters, server platforms, networking systems, and storage infrastructure.
The position operates at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, supply chain strategy, and vendor management, ensuring long-term access to critical hardware while optimizing pricing, delivery timelines, and supplier relationships.
What You ll Tackle
Own procurement strategy for high-performance computing infrastructure categories
Manage supplier relationships for compute, networking, storage, and rack-level infrastructure
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements with major technology vendors
Manage long lead-time infrastructure supply chains supporting large-scale deployments
Coordinate procurement planning with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams
Monitor supplier roadmaps and market dynamics to inform purchasing strategies
Support infrastructure refresh cycles and large-scale hardware deployments
Drive supplier performance management across delivery, pricing, and reliability
What You Bring
10+ years experience in category management, sourcing, or procurement
Experience managing technology infrastructure procurement categories
Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management experience
Experience with long lead-time infrastructure supply chains
Familiarity with data center hardware ecosystems including servers, networking, and storage
Ability to manage high-value procurement contracts and supplier agreements
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and infrastructure teams
Nice to Have
Experience sourcing HPC or AI infrastructure
Familiarity with GPU or accelerator ecosystems
Experience with large-scale data center infrastructure deployments
Supply chain or procurement certifications
