Senior Category Manager, Direct Materials

The Category Manager, Direct Materials will lead procurement strategy & supplier management for key direct material categories.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities to develop sourcing strategies
• Build & implement multi-year category roadmaps aligned w/ business objectives
• Establish commercial agreements that optimize cost, quality, service, innovation
• Drive cost optimization through should-cost analysis, value engineering, specification improvements & process efficiencies
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality & Operations on new product development & material qualification initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or related field
• 8+ years Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Quality, or Product Development experience
• Experience managing direct material categories in packaging, ingredients, chemicals, or other complex materials
• Success in category management, sourcing, supplier relationship management & commercial negotiations
• Experience working in global or highly matrixed organizations
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
