    Description

    A proprietary trading firm specializing in electronic options market making is seeking an experienced C++ Engineer to join its technology team. The firm takes a highly quantitative and technology-driven approach, building automated, scalable trading systems designed to provide liquidity across financial markets.

    This role works closely with traders and engineers to develop and optimize the low-latency infrastructure supporting trading strategies and execution.

    What You'll Do

    • Design, develop, and optimize low-latency C++ applications supporting electronic trading strategies.
    • Partner directly with traders and engineers to turn trading ideas into reliable, production-ready systems.
    • Analyze system performance and data to identify bottlenecks and prioritize improvements.
    • Enhance interactions between applications and system components in a controlled and testable environment.
    • Migrate and rewrite complex Java applications into C++.
    • Optimize production systems for latency, throughput, reliability, and scalability.
    • Debug and profile performance-critical applications in a Linux environment.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience within an options market-making or electronic trading firm.
    • Advanced proficiency in modern C++.
    • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and computer science fundamentals.
    • Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
    • Strong knowledge of Linux and system-level programming.
    • Ability to make sound technical decisions around system behaviors and configuration.
    • Proven ability to translate trading and business requirements into scalable production code.
