Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours. Occasional evenings for calls with overseas suppliers (evening calls can be done remotely).

Job Summary
Our client makes precision camera lenses for computer and machine vision to bridge the digital world with the physical world, and they're growing. They are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Buyer / Planner (Supply Chain Specialist) to take full operational ownership of their end-to-end purchasing, inventory management, and international logistics. In this role, you will not just support the process - you will own the buy.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of tactical execution and process optimization. You will manage crucial overseas supplier relationships, navigate international customs, maintain clean ERP data, and partner directly with their production floor to ensure seamless material staging. Core Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, vendor/supplier negotiations, and international supply chain coordination.
• Place, track, and expedite purchase orders (POs), actively follow up with suppliers on quantities and shipping dates to ensure production lines remain uninterrupted.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciling system data vs. physical stock, and proactively resolving discrepancies.
• Run demand forecasting models and replenishment schedules using sales pipelines, open orders, and production schedules to accurately set reorder points and optimize stock levels.
• Monitor and manage supplier delivery performance, proactively address and resolve pricing, quantity, and scheduling friction.
• Coordinate international freight movements and manage customs/import documentation (including in-bond shipments, clearances, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), and vendor reconciliations).
• Partner directly with the production team to ensure materials are staged, available, and ready ahead of manufacturing build commitments.
  
• Maintain absolute data cleanliness and accuracy for all purchasing, lead time, and inventory records inside the Acumatica ERP system.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3-6 years of direct experience in procurement, purchasing, buying or materials/supply chain planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Hands-on experience successfully executing purchase orders and managing inventory portfolios.
• Solid background in physical inventory reconciliation, auditing, and setting up structured cycle counting systems.
• Experience with demand forecasting, calculation of safety stock, and replenishment planning.
• High proficiency working within modern ERP/MRP systems and advanced spreadsheet experience (Excel/Google Sheets).
• Hands-on familiarity with managing overseas suppliers (Asia/China) and navigating customs regulations, duty structures, clearances, or FTZ environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

• Direct, hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP software.

• Bilingual in Mandarin to communicate directly with overseas manufacturing plants and suppliers.

Compensation

The expected annual pay range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience. Final compensation is set during the selection process and may vary.
