    POSITION SUMMARY 

    Purchasing materials, supplies, equipment for projects and K2. Duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections, and tracking inventory. 

    HIGH PAYOFF ACTIVITES:

    Vendor management  

      • Developing key vendor relationships to maintain competitive pricing and exceptional customer service 
      • Assist in establishing and actively managing special purchasing power, buyouts, strategic sourcing with vendor contracts.  
      • VMI relationship for improvement on material while lowering cost  
      • Assist Director of Field Support in working with Operations/Projects teams to create leveraged buyouts by looking companywide at material purchasing needs, not just job-to-job level needs 

      Procurement/ purchasing   

      • Issue purchase orders for projects, i.e., material, light fixture packages, and gear orders. 
      • Procure and schedule delivery of material for projects based on schedule  
      • Procure and schedule delivery of rental equipment for projects based  
      • Resolve procurement gaps in specialty and non-standard orders 
      • Locate and order non-standard Items 

      Assist Project Teams/ Field    

      • Communicate with teams on lead time items 
      • Assist with material questions or concerns  
      • Work with teams on rental equipment 
      • Provide reports to project teams to monitor and analyze material purchases and equipment rentals 

      4.Collaborate with Accounting/ Finance  

      • Work with AP on PO- invoice matching issues  
      • Work with Project Coordinators and Finance to close projects 
      • End of Month duties  

      OTHER TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

      Other duties as assigned

      REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

      • Sound negotiating and influencing skills 
      • Sound financial management knowledge 
      • Sound experience in MS Excel and other MS office applications 
      • Superior analytical and communication skills 

      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

      • Completion of electrical apprenticeship or college degree (preferred) 
      • Foreman-level electrical experience (preferred) or (2) years electrical construction purchasing experience with a college degree 
      • (1) year experience using construction software for purchasing (preferred) 
      • (3) years of construction related experience (Required)  

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS 

      • Ability to wear PPE most of the day when working at a project location 
      • Ability to work in extreme heat when working at a project location 
      • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain when working at a project location 
      • Ability to lift 20 pounds as needed in routine activities associated with position 
      • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for long hours when working in the office 
      • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity equipment
