Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/Planner to oversee procurement, production planning, inventory management, and supplier relationships in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, and other supplies necessary to support production schedules and customer requirements.

Days: Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Must have experience using NetSuite
• Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, inventory levels, forecasts, lead times, and customer demand.
• Create and manage purchasing plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers while negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and production plans.
• Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve supply chain disruptions to maintain production schedules.
• Analyze inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory while minimizing shortages and excess stock.
• Support warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counts, audits, and material flow processes.
• Participate in vendor qualification activities and ensure materials meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and lean initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Contribute to change management activities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop short- and long-term procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems and generate reports to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials, resources, and supply plans support operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, procurement processes, and supplier management.
• Experience using ERP and MRP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
