Job Description Education • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Solution Analysis, Business Architecture, Process Improvement, Digital Transformation, Automation, or a related field. • Proven ability to assess business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable technology solutions. • Strong experience gathering, documenting, analyzing, and validating business requirements throughout the SDLC. • Experience developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, option assessments, and executive recommendations. • Strong visual modeling skills using process maps, capability models, customer journeys, value streams, operating models, and solution diagrams. • Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts including APIs, integrations, SaaS platforms, data flows, and system dependencies. • Experience facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, and influencing cross-functional teams. • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create executive-ready presentations and lead discussions. Automation, Analytics & AI Experience • 4+ years of experience identifying, evaluating, and implementing automation or process improvement opportunities. • Experience with one or more RPA platforms including UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, PEGA, or similar solutions. • Understanding of workflow automation, OCR/ICR, document intelligence, case management, and unstructured data processing. • Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, NLP, chatbots, and AI-assisted business processes. • Ability to evaluate automation and AI opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility, compliance, organizational readiness, and ROI. • Experience supporting proof-of-concept (POC) and proof-of-value (POV) initiatives. Preferred Qualifications • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CBAP, PMI-PBA, Certified Business Architect, or similar certification. • Experience implementing AI, machine learning, OCR, NLP, document intelligence, chatbot, or analytics solutions. • Insurance industry experience, including Life, Disability Income, Term Life, or Annuities. • Experience supporting transformation initiatives within financial services, insurance operations, claims, policy administration, contact centers, or customer servicing. • Experience with cloud platforms, SaaS implementations, workflow automation, process mining, or enterprise automation platforms. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst – Transformation, Automation & AI to drive business transformation initiatives through process optimization, automation, and technology solutioning. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, identifying opportunities for improvement, defining future-state capabilities, evaluating solution options, and delivering recommendations that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with experience in automation, AI, enterprise systems, and solution design. You'll partner with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle—from discovery and strategy through implementation—without requiring hands-on software development experience. Key Responsibilities • Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand business objectives, current-state processes, operational challenges, and future goals. • Analyze end-to-end business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, automation opportunities, and process improvements. • Develop future-state process designs, operating models, capability maps, and technology recommendations aligned with business strategy and compliance requirements. • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support prioritization, sequencing, and business decision-making. • Perform high-level technical feasibility assessments, including integrations, dependencies, architectural considerations, and implementation readiness. • Evaluate solution options, including build vs. buy, enterprise platform vs. point solution, automation vs. manual processes, and fit-for-purpose alternatives. • Create executive-ready documentation, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, decision matrices, and strategic recommendations. • Develop business process models, capability maps, customer journeys, value streams, BPMN diagrams, data flows, and solution architecture visuals. • Partner with business, technology, analytics, operations, and compliance teams to identify and prioritize transformation initiatives. • Support solution design, requirements refinement, implementation planning, user readiness, and post-implementation validation. • Drive automation initiatives from opportunity identification through business case development and execution support. • Assess opportunities to leverage AI, intelligent automation, analytics, document intelligence, and emerging technologies. • Stay current on AI, automation, workflow technologies, and analytics trends while supporting proof-of-concept (POC) and proof-of-value (POV) initiatives.
