Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Pay Range: $66.96hr - $71.96hr

Job Overview:

Utilizes data analytics and contributes to a set of business initiatives designed to help business partners extract value from information. Develops data visualizations for analysis, problem-solving, and business solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluates healthcare analytics to generate insights for healthcare solutions.
• Operates as a trusted thought partner with business leads to perform both proactive and reactive analysis for key stakeholders and derives insights between key metrics and their drivers.
• Researches meaningful reports and analysis for healthcare system entities and presents on findings.
• Creates effective key performance indicators and balanced scorecards that provide improved decision-making.
• Builds infrastructure that supports analytical rigor and develops models and tools that drive healthcare strategy.
• Uses business analytics to anticipate future needs of the healthcare organization, leveraging data to address business challenges using data analytics.
• Serves as a technical resource and mentor for junior business intelligence analysts.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with business intelligence tools, data analytics, and/or database management systems.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Must-haves:

• Advanced Power BI: Hands-on advanced Power BI Development, Complex DAX, star-schema modeling, row-level security, performance tuning, and Power BI Service Administration.
• Advanced SQL and Database expertise: Complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, data warehouse design, and experience analyzing and reporting large volumes of data.
• Power Platform: Hands-on Power Apps (canvas and/or model-driven) and Power Automate workflows to integrate data including SharePoint, AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena), Cloudera, and other sources.
• Stakeholder skills: Understanding stakeholder requirements and articulating well on the story behind the data.
• Leadership: Experience leading or mentoring BI developers, running code reviews, and setting reporting standards.
• Quantitative foundation: Degree or strong grounding in mathematics or statistics.
• 8 to 9 years of experience in BI Reporting.

Strong Preference:

• Enterprise BI Tools: MicroStrategy (or Tableau, Cognos), including integration with Power BI.
• AI capabilities: Experience in building AI-assisted Power Platform solutions and experience in building Semantic Power BI models for Agentic AI consumption.
• Domain Experience: Healthcare Payer Domain experience.
• Integrations: Experience integrating or working with Microsoft Fabric and AWS Ecosystem.
• Certifications: Any relevant Power Platform or Power BI certifications.
• Professional Attributes: Collaborative, team-first, willing to coach, strong communicator with non-technical audiences, and takes ownership.

• Advanced ability to translate technical complexities to key business stakeholders.
• Proficient ability to learn and understand all areas of operations within the organization.
• Advanced ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in business intelligence software, such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified Business Intelligence Professional preferred upon hire.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred upon hire.
