ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a well-capitalized financial institution with a strong presence in the middle-market banking space, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to help expand its commercial lending platform in the Los Angeles market. This is a high-visibility role focused on originating new business, managing client relationships, and partnering with leadership on portfolio growth strategy. Ideal for a polished banker with strong credit acumen and an established network in Northern California.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive new commercial banking business through relationship development with middle-market companies, investors, and professional referral sources
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio while maintaining strong credit quality and client satisfaction
  • Structure and evaluate commercial loan opportunities across C&I, owner-occupied real estate, and investment real estate transactions
  • Prepare and present credit recommendations to internal approval committees
  • Partner with legal counsel, borrowers, and internal teams through documentation and closing processes
  • Monitor loan performance, covenant compliance, renewals, and overall portfolio health
  • Stay informed on local market activity, competitor trends, and business opportunities throughout the Los Angeles region
  • Represent the bank at networking events, industry functions, and community organizations to enhance market visibility
  • Mentor junior team members and provide support to leadership on departmental initiatives
