As a Senior Business Analyst, this is your opportunity to be at the intersection of data, analysis, hiring, and strategy that will make it possible for our teams to fulfill that customer promise every day.

In this role, you will own data analytics projects from beginning to end, and will build reports, compile metrics, and own ad hoc and trend analysis. You will utilize business intelligence tools to analyze data and drive key recommendations. You will work with Talent Acquisition leadership to achieve business objectives and communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation; and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

You will provide analytical support for various Talent Acquisition programs, and build tools to surface timely, meaningful, and actionable data that will drive proactive decision making. Your analysis will contribute deeply to the development of our strategy and drive impact against our hiring objectives. You will collaborate with subject matter experts across Amazon to work through complex problems and to create unified scalable reporting solutions at an enterprise-wide level. You will have the opportunity to partner with the central HR Information Systems teams as an influencer on their next generation road map.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building the design of operational dashboards and reports for both recruiting leaders and the businesses they support
  • Creating and maintaining data visualizations that inform stakeholders on key metrics
  • Conducting trend analysis to identify opportunities, highlight strengths, and provide recommended corrective actions
  • Providing recommendations on organization health metrics based on data trends
  • Leading headcount planning exercises in Talent Acquisition by collaborating with Finance
  • Developing programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data
  • Acting as a SME for corporate recruiting tools, and providing necessary training to team members on the usage of these tools
  • Performing regular system audits to ensure complete and accurate reporting of data/metrics
  • Performing complex data analysis across multiple systems to support both scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Data mining key performance indicators to discover root causes
  • Working with a broad range of Amazon's data resources in order to determine which sources to use for which information
  • Analyze business outcome data in order to identify relationships and trends; incorporate data visualization of statistical analyses
  • Contributing to the writing of research papers for internal audiences
  • Monitoring existing metrics, developing new metrics, and identifying actionable risk signals
