Senior Business Analyst - Salesforce

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid local candidates preferred; required on-site for meetings at the Parsippany, NJ office as needed

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 9 months
  • Pay Rate: $70.00 $85.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Travel Requirements: 10%

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst Consultant with Salesforce experience that will have responsibility for eliciting business needs, specifying user stories/use cases, modeling processes, evaluating system impacts, performing detailed analysis, prioritizing business requests, and partnering with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of new system capabilities, enhancements, and fixes in support of various applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with constituents across the organization to understand current processes, systems and opportunities and capture requirements for new processes, systems, user interfaces and user experiences through various methods, including but not limited to requirements gathering sessions, interviews, surveys, workshops, etc. (70% of role)
  • Collaborate with vendor partners and internal team members to communicate needs and requirements and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Advise on best practices.
  • Document current and future state in various forms including functional requirements, user stories, wireframes, interface designs, workflows, swim-lane diagrams, presentations, etc. for appropriate audiences including C-Level, business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Collaborating with IT Development (onshore/offshore) and QA to ensure appropriate and adequate system testing is performed. (20% of role)
  • Facilitating, coordinating and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Providing guidance, reviewing work and providing feedback to other team members. (5% of role)
  • Performing other duties as assigned. (5% of role)

Required Skills

  • Experience capturing, and documenting B2B customer centric requirements, with a focus on minimizing customer pain points, and providing visibility into operational data.
  • Perform analysis and design using various methods, including: business requirements, functional specifications, user stories/acceptance criteria, use cases, swim lanes, and process flows, swim lane diagrams, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, and mock-ups/wireframes.
  • Understanding of best practices with Digital User Interface designs and User Experience.
  • Experience with visually modeling requirements using tools.
  • Experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience in Jira.
  • Experience with documenting requirements for integrations between enterprise systems.
  • Strong experience in business process design and workflow analysis.
  • Strong knowledge and execution of IT Standards, Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Information Security Practices.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies & Tools.
  • Experience in working with multiple data sources and ERPs.

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud is a plus.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business (with IT focus), or related majors and/or track record of work experience in areas described above.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in systems analysis and design with a proven record of successful medium to large scale project implementations, preferably in enterprise Business-to-Business durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
