Senior Business Analyst (SDLC, Requirements & Process Improvement):
Mode of Work:Hybrid / Up to 100% Remote Must Be Located in USA; Texas Candidates Preferred for Occasional Onsite Work
The Senior Business Analyst will support multiple software projects involving major application enhancements and/or system rewrite initiatives. The position will serve as the primary liaison between business/program stakeholders and software development teams throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The Business Analyst will lead requirements elicitation, business-process analysis, requirements documentation, user-story and use-case development, wireframing, change control, and requirements validation. The role will also promote business-analysis best practices and mentor peers and colleagues.
Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and software development teams.
Participate throughout the complete SDLC.
Elicit and document detailed business, functional, and system requirements.

Use Cases
Workflow Analysis
Competitive Product Analysis
Analyze user needs, business processes, pain points, and existing system capabilities.
Identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.

Translate business needs into clear and actionable system requirements.
Develop user stories and use cases following BA best practices.
Create software requirements specification documents.
Design wireframes and mockups following UX best practices.
Establish and maintain requirements baselines.
Verify that implemented solutions fulfill approved requirements.
Manage requirements for post-implementation enhancements.
Manage requirements specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Track requirements status, changes, dependencies, and completion.
Support formal change-control processes.
Use Atlassian Jira for issue and requirements tracking.
Use Modern Requirements or similar requirements-management tools.
Facilitate meetings and requirements workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
Communicate requirements clearly to software development teams.
Promote standardized business-analysis methodologies and best practices.
Mentor peers and colleagues on BA practices.
Support application modernization and rewrite initiatives.
Maintain organized and accurate requirements documentation.
Minimum 8%2B years eliciting requirements through customer interviews and creating well-written system requirements.
Minimum 8%2B years of experience working with Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
Minimum 8%2B years of business process re-engineering and software process-flow improvement experience.
Minimum 8%2B years developing user stories and use cases following business-analysis best practices.
Minimum 8%2B years designing mockups and/or wireframes following UX best practices.
Minimum 5%2B years demonstrating strong communication and facilitation skills.
Minimum 5%2B years demonstrating strong writing and organizational skills.
Strong experience translating complex business requirements into functional and system requirements.
Experience facilitating JAD and requirements-gathering sessions.
Strong stakeholder-management and requirements-validation skills.
Experience supporting major application enhancements and/or application rewrite projects.
Strong understanding of requirements management and change-control processes.
Minimum 4%2B years of experience with:

Minimum 2%2B years of hands-on Atlassian Jira experience.
Minimum 2%2B years using requirements-management software such as Modern Requirements.
