Overview
Job Purpose
The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Securities Information Processor (SIP) team at SIAC, supporting critical National Market System (NMS) infrastructure that underpins equity and options market data distribution across U.S. markets. This role sits at the intersection of market structure, technology, and industry engagement. The successful candidate will support the full lifecycle of functional requirements for SIP enhancements from gathering requirements through stakeholders and industry working groups, to contributing to technical specifications, to supporting QA and production validation. The individual will also play an important coordination and administrative role, helping drive project delivery, maintaining documentation, and managing communications across internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Support functional and technical requirements for SIP system enhancements, from initial scoping through final specification delivery
Author high-quality requirements artifacts including functional and technical specifications, use cases, and participant-facing guides
Lead requirements-gathering sessions, design reviews, and issue resolution across internal and external stakeholders
Engage with industry groups (e.g., CTA/CQS, OPRA) to capture requirements, track follow-ups, and support delivery of consensus-driven requirement specifications
Data Analysis & System Performance
Conduct data analysis against large-scale trading datasets to evaluate system performance and identify trends
Assist in diagnosing operational and production issues using data analysis tools (e.g. SQL) and internal monitoring platforms; familiarity with network capture tools such as Corvil/P2D and Wireshark is a plus
Help maintain reporting and tracking frameworks to monitor SIP throughput, latency, and data quality metrics
QA & Testing Support
Partner with QA teams on functional test coverage, test case reviews, and requirements traceability
Support SIP industry-wide testing programs and participant certification efforts
Operations & Customer Support
Serve as subject matter expert and escalation contact for functional and technical inquiries across NMS systems
Support customer onboarding, connectivity validation, and incident tracking
Manage and maintain customer-facing communication
Provide flexible coverage for production monitoring, including occasional off-hours and weekend support during critical events or releases
Knowledge & Experience
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $120,000 $165,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchanges incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
