PURPOSE:

The Senior Business Analyst will have the responsibility for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and implementing business and system requirements that support Provider Data Management and related healthcare provider systems. The incumbent will partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements within the Salesforce based Provider Data Management system (PDMES) application and associated downstream systems. This role is accountable for gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, supporting testing and implementation activities, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring solutions align with business objectives, operational processes, and regulatory requirements. As the functional expert, the incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the business and technical teams, facilitating the successful delivery of provider data, system enhancements, and process improvements.

We are looking for an experienced professional in the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area who is willing and able to work in a hybrid model. The incumbent will be expected to work a portion of their week from home and a portion of their week at a CareFirst location based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interprets business needs by partnering with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and external partners to gather, analyze, document, validate, and prioritize business and system requirements for Provider Data Management initiatives. Creates functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and other project artifacts while participating in solution design reviews to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Coordinates and supports system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities for application enhancements, provider data initiatives, and production releases. Assists with test planning, defect triage, validation of fixes, release readiness, and implementation activities while ensuring solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Provide guidance and communication to business stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Research, analyzes, and resolves moderate to complex business, system, and provider data issues by collaborating with business partners, technical teams, and downstream system owners. Supports production issue resolution, root cause analysis, data validation, and process improvements while identifying opportunities to improve system functionality and operations efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive business and technical documentation including business requirements, user stories, process flows, decision logs, test scenarios, implementation documentation, and operational procedures. Ensures documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with established standards and Agile delivery practices.
  • Coordinates assigned work efforts from planning through implementation by monitoring deliverables, managing priorities, identifying risks and dependencies, tracking project progress, and communicating status to leadership and project stakeholders. Supports Agile ceremonies and assists with release planning activities.
  • Answers policy-related questions for business process, systems and software which require research and consultation with others internally and externally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor''s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor''s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing or other analytical experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, effective deliverables on-time and be a significant contributor to the development of cost-effective solutions.
  • Proven understanding of business analysis core competencies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • High-level of knowledge and understanding of business products and services.
  • Microsoft Office applications usage.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Salary Range: $73,728 - $146,432
