Title: Senior Business Analyst 
Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Financial Project Manager in Auburn Hills, MI. This opportunity is with a global automotive safety company focused on developing products that help save lives. This role combines project management, business analysis, application support, and technical expertise, with a strong focus on JD Edwards (JDE) Financial Systems.

Job Duties:
  • Provide functional and technical support for Finance applications, including JDE Financial modules, ensuring system stability, issue resolution, user training, and documentation.
  • Lead and support finance-related projects, including application enhancements, change management, QA testing, Jira coordination, and system updates.
  • Partner with Finance and key business users to gather requirements and support application improvements.
  • Manage Finance data initiatives by gathering requirements, overseeing data product development, validating data in Snowflake, and coordinating with Informatica teams.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by investigating posting issues, analyzing variances and reconciliations, and resolving finance-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and data analytics solutions to support reporting, reconciliations, audits, and business decisions.
  • Support compliance, controls, and audit-related activities as needed.
  • Travel within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico as needed for onsite support, critical issue resolution, and business initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong experience with JDE Financial modules and enterprise Finance applications.
  • Experience with project management, business analysis, application support, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of business application architecture and system integrations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Experience with data analysis, financial reporting, SQL, and data analytics solutions.
  • Experience supporting or administering enterprise business applications, preferably within Finance, ERP, or corporate systems.
  • Experience working with internal/external auditors and supporting compliance, controls, and audit activities is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico as needed.
