    Description

Description We bring the clients, the credibility, and the backing.

Burns & McDonnell's commissioning team is ranked #2 nationally by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine. We are also No. 7 on ENR's Top 500 Design Firms and No. 35 on its Top 400 Contractors, up from No. 42, with $4.5 billion in 2025 construction revenue. As a 100% employee-owner, you will have a direct stake in what you build. Few commissioning practices sit inside a firm that also designs and builds.

The role has two primary objectives. First, grow enclosure commissioning and consulting as a business: win work with owners, architects, and contractors, deliver the work you win, and hire the team to do more of it. Second, make our own construction jobs better: work with our construction and construction quality teams to bring enclosure expertise onto the projects we build, so enclosures are right the first time.

This is not a seat on someone else's team. We want an enclosure professional who is as energized by winning the work as by doing it: someone who will make a name in their market, bring in the clients, deliver the projects, and hire and grow the team around them. You will have our client relationships, our multidisciplinary teams, and a fast-growing construction business across Federal, Aviation, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Higher Education markets to grow quickly.
