Description

Job Title

Develop, implement, and optimize braiding and reinforcement manufacturing processes to improve quality, consistency, and operational performance.

Establish and maintain process parameters, setup documentation, standardized work instructions, and manufacturing best practices.

Provide hands-on technical support on the production floor to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and improve process capability.

Partner with manufacturing and maintenance teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment performance issues.

Analyze product and process performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Lead or support qualification and validation testing activities to ensure products meet performance and customer requirements.

Evaluate and refine reinforcement design parameters, including process settings, material performance, and production efficiency.

Ensure manufacturing processes consistently achieve required performance standards related to durability, flexibility, and product reliability.

Collaborate with quality, engineering, and operations teams to support new product and process development initiatives.

Contribute to testing strategies, validation activities, and process documentation to support ongoing operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in hose, conduit, or related manufacturing environments, ideally supporting highly regulated or technically demanding products.

Strong hands-on process engineering background with experience supporting manufacturing operations and production equipment.

Experience working with braiding, reinforcement, spiral manufacturing processes, or similar high-precision manufacturing technologies.

Knowledge of process development, standardization, manufacturing documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing process issues in a shop-floor environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvement.

Experience supporting product testing, validation, qualification, or certification programs is advantageous.

Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and quality functions.

Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment with a proactive and results-driven approach.
