Description

Required Experience:
  • 10+ years general full-time work experience (may reduce with advanced education).
  • 5+ years directly related boundary engineering experience.
  • 1+ years in management or leadership role.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience operating F5 load balancers.
  • Direct experience with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs).
  • Direct experience operating web proxies.
  • Proficiency in network switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) for Netscalers, Cisco, Citrix, and Firepower.
  • Strong understanding of OSI model and IP protocol stack.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network perimeter infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and edge devices.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Plan, architect, configure, and maintain scalable firewall infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance telemetry and identify edge architecture improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex network anomalies and resolve perimeter device faults rapidly.
  • Implement network security policies, manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and ensure compliance with federal/industry standards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support secure business applications and services.
  • Produce and maintain documentation for network configurations, edge policies, and procedures.
  • Must-Have Certifications and Clearance
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience assessing and documenting test/analysis data for cybersecurity compliance.
  • Familiarity with National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM).
  • Knowledge of isolated network security best practices.
  • Current CISSP or DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification.
  • Proficiency in Authorization to Operate (ATO) under Joint (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG).
  • Experience in Zero Trust environments.
Language:
  • English native or bilingual proficiency.
