Description

Title: Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician
Location: Steamboat Springs, CO (Onsite)
Type: Contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with shared after-hours on-call rotation (averages once every few months)
Rate: $37.04–$55.57/hour (based on experience). Salary is equivalent.
On-Call Pay: $5.00/hour while on call, plus additional compensation for phone support and on-site responses.

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician to support approximately 2,200 medical devices alongside one other Biomedical Technician. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in a collaborative, small-hospital environment, enjoys building strong relationships with clinical teams, and can confidently prioritize, troubleshoot, and communicate complex technical issues.
As the senior technician, you will serve as the technical lead, mentor an Intermediate Biomedical Technician, and partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure the safe, reliable operation of mission-critical medical equipment.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or equivalent technical/vocational training.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification through AAMI is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) or biomedical equipment experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with a broad range of biomedical equipment.
  • Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting any of the following is highly preferred:
  • Respiratory equipment
  • Anesthesia equipment
  • Philips patient monitoring systems
  • First-response support for Imaging/Radiology equipment
