Description
- Support the day-to-day administration of U.S. health & welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefits.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for employees and HR partners, helping resolve complex benefits questions, eligibility issues, and escalations.
- Partner with benefit carriers, administrators, brokers, and other vendors to resolve issues and ensure programs operate effectively.
- Support annual open enrollment, including planning, testing, employee communications, system updates, and post-enrollment activities.
- Review benefits eligibility, enrollment, and employee data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner closely with HRIS and Payroll to ensure benefit elections and deductions are processed accurately.
- Assist with vendor invoice reviews, reconciliations, and resolution of billing discrepancies.
- Support benefits reporting, audits, plan documentation, and ongoing compliance activities.
- Help ensure programs remain compliant with applicable requirements, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Form 5500.
- Analyze benefits data and trends to identify issues and opportunities to improve processes and the overall employee experience.
- Support benefits projects, vendor implementations, process improvements, and other initiatives as needed.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, benefits administration, or a related HR function.
- Strong hands-on experience with U.S. health & welfare benefit programs.
- Experience supporting medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and related benefit plans.
- Knowledge of benefits regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Experience working directly with benefits vendors, carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with experience reviewing benefits and employee data.
- Experience with HRIS, benefits administration, and payroll systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage employee and stakeholder escalations.
- Experience supporting open enrollment and benefits-related projects in a large organization is highly preferred.
