Senior Backend Engineer(Platform and Security)

The Executive Administrative position would be responsible for independently performing day to day tasks in alignment with TCS Management systems.

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer focusing on building high performance API based backend platform and highly reliable foundational data services.

This role requires strong API development experience, cloud platform expertise, proficiency in modern programming languages, and knowledge of data encryption

and security principles

Key Responsibilities

API Development & Integration

Design and implement RESTful APIs for data access and system integration

Build robust API gateways, service mesh architectures, authentication, authorization for API services

Cloud-Native Development

Deploy and manage applications on AWS, GCP and hybrid cloud platforms

Implement Infrastructure as Code using cloud-native tools and services

Develop monitoring frameworks for reliiable operations

Secure systems

Implement data encryption at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols

Design and manage symmetric and asymmetric key infrastructure

Build secure key management systems and rotation policies

Database Systems

Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) with encryption capabilities

Experience with message brokers (Apache Kafka)

Understanding of monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana)

Required Technical Skills

Programming Languages (Must Have)

Proficiency in building concurrent, high-performance services using Go/Java/Python

Ability to choose the right language for specific use cases and performance requirements

API Development Experience (Must Have)

REST API Design: Deep understanding of REST principles, HTTP methods, and status codes

API Security: Implementation of OAuth 2.0, JWT tokens, and API key management

Microservices Communication: Service-to-service APIs, circuit breakers, and retry logic

Cloud Development - AWS & GCP (Must Have)

Hands on experience & Knowledge of Cloud services across AWS/GCP: Compute, Serverless Functions, Containers, Object Storage, KMS, IaaS

DevOps Tools: CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and logging

Multi-cloud Strategy: Understanding of cloud-agnostic design patterns

Data Encryption & Security (Must Have)

Key security concepts including Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption, Key Management(HSM, Key rotation), Digital Signatures, TLS/SSL/mTLS, Hash functions

Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000 a year
