Senior Back-End Developer - New York, NY - Contract - W2/C2C - $61-71 Per HR
Description
This role involves designing and supporting scalable, secure, and resilient platforms for critical business applications. The position is based in New York, NY, and requires onsite presence. It is a contract role with opportunities to work on cloud architecture and software development, using a variety of modern technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production-quality services and APIs with modern engineering practices.
- Design and implement cloud solutions using a range of services and tools.
- Mentor developers and promote consistent engineering practices.
- Support production incidents and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Lead technical design reviews and performance tuning.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in software engineering or cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with production-grade applications using modern technology stacks.
- Experience in incident management and operational runbooks.
- Strong background in observability and secure coding practices.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and relational database platforms.
