Title: Senior Business Analyst – Workday Benefits Integration Support

Integration Analysis & Troubleshooting: Analyze and troubleshoot Workday-to-benefits-provider integrations, mapping out and examining the exact data exchanged between systems.
End-to-End Transaction Tracing: Track employee lifecycles, benefits, and payroll-related transactions from end to end—covering hires, transfers, job changes, compensation adjustments, payroll events, and terminations impacting benefit eligibility or contributions.
Root-Cause Investigation: Investigate discrepancies to pinpoint origin points (data errors, configuration flaws, timing issues, vendor processing, or expected system behavior).
Technical Auditing: Review integration outputs, inbound/outbound files, messages, logs, reports, Workday transactions, and vendor responses.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work alongside benefits subject matter experts, Workday functional teams, and external vendors to validate findings and implement corrective measures.
Data Flow Documentation: Develop and maintain end-to-end data flow diagrams illustrating how employee, payroll, and benefits transactions route through Workday integrations to external carriers.
Defect vs. Feature Differentiation: Distinguish true system defects from expected behavior where underlying rules were previously misunderstood.
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst supporting HCM ERP implementations, production stabilization, or complex system integrations.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday experience, focusing specifically on integrations, HCM, Benefits, Payroll, and employee lifecycle transactions.
Minimum 3 years of experience with retirement or pension benefit administration, including retirement benefit system configuration, plan eligibility rules, and contribution processing.
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Workday or another large ERP platform during implementation, post-go-live stabilization, or production operations.
Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-system tracking capabilities, paired with strong communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
Experience supporting integrations with external benefits providers, pension administrators, insurance carriers, or payroll-related vendors.
Familiarity with APIs, web services, middleware, integration platforms, XML/JSON, flat-file integrations, and data transformation concepts.
Comprehensive root-cause analyses and resolution recommendations for reported integration issues.
Clear, accessible documentation detailing data flows, transaction behaviors, system dependencies, and business rules (including end-to-end data flow diagrams).
Ongoing issue tracking, status updates, and validation confirmations ensuring fixes produce expected results across Workday and benefit providers.
