Job Title: Senior AWS Python Developer
Experience: 7+ Years
Location: Lafayette, LA | Hybrid
Salary: $55k- $137k per annum

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Python Developer with a strong background in AWS cloud services, scalable application development, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust, secure, and scalable applications using modern cloud-native technologies and development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy scalable applications on AWS Cloud.
• Develop scalable code using Python and/or Java.
• Build and maintain APIs on AWS Cloud.
• Develop and implement sound version control and code deployment best practices in AWS environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitLab.
• Build web applications on AWS Cloud.
• Develop scripting and automation solutions using Python, PHP, Node.js, and related technologies.
• Participate in application monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Deploy serverless applications and work with AWS services.
• Build and maintain automation testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure each increment adheres to the user story, standard resource libraries, and architecture patterns.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, grooming, product demonstrations, and team retrospectives.
• Use DevOps tools to build, inspect, deploy, test, and promote new or updated features.
• Respond to production support and troubleshooting calls to help maintain application availability.
• Create and update documentation supporting development efforts, including detailed specifications, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, and design documents.
• Work with product owners and development team members to determine new features and user stories for new or revised applications.
• Work with other cloud services such as Azure and GCP as needed.
• Work with AWS CI/CD services and tools including AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
• Strong development experience building scalable applications using Python and/or Java.
• Experience building APIs on AWS Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Terraform pipelines, and GitLab.
• Experience building web applications on AWS Cloud.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PHP, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Experience with front-end development; Angular/ADK and TypeScript are a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases including DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with application monitoring and performance tuning.
• Experience deploying serverless applications and familiarity with AWS services.
• Experience building automation testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile development practices and participation in Agile team ceremonies.
• Understanding and practical use of DevOps tool stacks for application development and deployment.
• Ability to provide production support and troubleshoot application issues.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Experience with AWS CI/CD services including CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
