About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Bench Technician to join a well-established aviation accessories and component repair operation in Miramar, FL.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and repair work and is looking for long-term career growth. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of aviation bench repair experience working with aircraft accessories, avionics, instruments, electronics, or related aviation components.
This position also offers the opportunity to grow into a Shop Supervisor role for the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Perform bench-level troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing of aviation components
- Work with avionics, aircraft accessories, instruments, electronics, and/or related components
- Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other approved technical data
- Manage multiple repairs and work orders simultaneously
- Accurately document repairs and work performed
- Follow FAA requirements, quality procedures, and established shop practices
- Work closely with other technicians, quality personnel, and shop leadership
- Adapt to changing priorities and customer requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of aviation bench repair experience required
- Previous experience repairing avionics, aircraft accessories, instruments, electronics, or aviation components
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- FAA Part 145 repair station, MRO, airline component shop, OEM, or similar aviation repair experience is highly desirable
- Leadership, Lead Technician, or training experience is a plus
- Must be dependable, flexible, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation repair environment
