Join us to be part of a dynamic and impactful global company!Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute test plans for connected vehicle (CV) systems, including telematics control units (TCUs), infotainment systems, and V2X featuresPerform validation and diagnostics using CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Ethernet-based network tools (e.g., Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, PCAN)Validate Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) / Software Over-the-Air (SOTA) update processes, including update packaging, delivery, rollback scenarios, and failure recoverySimulate and inject network traffic/faults to test ECU behavior under edge cases and abnormal conditionsDevelop and maintain automated test scripts (Python, CAPL, or similar) to improve validation efficiency and coveragePerform bench, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), and vehicle-level testing for connected featuresLog, triage, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, DOORS, or similar ALM platformsCollaborate with software, systems, and cybersecurity teams to define validation requirements and acceptance criteriaAnalyze CAN bus logs and network traces to identify root causes of communication failuresEnsure compliance with relevant automotive standards (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R156 for software updates, etc.)Document test results, generate validation reports, and present findings to cross-functional stakeholdersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field6–10 years of experience in automotive validation or embedded systems testingHands-on experience with CAN bus tools (Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or equivalent)Practical experience validating FOTA/SOTA update systems, including update integrity, versioning, and rollback testingSolid understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS/ISO 14229)Familiarity with connected vehicle architectures (TCU, gateway modules, cloud-to-vehicle communication)Experience with scripting/automation (Python, CAPL, or similar) for test automationUnderstanding of automotive cybersecurity concepts as they relate to OTA updatesStrong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to interpret bus traces and system logsPreferred QualificationsExperience with UNECE R156 (software update management) and R155 (cybersecurity) compliance validationFamiliarity with HIL test rigs and lab automationExposure to AUTOSAR-based ECU architecturesKnowledge of cloud-based OTA platforms (AWS IoT, Azure, or OEM-proprietary FOTA solutions)Experience with DOORS, Polarion, or similar requirements management toolsASPICE or ISO 26262 process familiarityV2Soft is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
