Job Summary

To process cardholder disputes and chargebacks accurately and within applicable card scheme timelines, in accordance with scheme rules and internal procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• Review and process cardholder disputes and chargeback cases in line with card scheme rules and timelines.
• Review transaction details and supporting documents to process the appropriate dispute action.
• Process and follow up cases through the applicable chargeback stages until closure.
• Review incoming responses and take the required action within the applicable timelines.
• Process dispute-related financial adjustments and maintain accurate case records.
• Escalate complex or exceptional cases to the appropriate level for further review.

Key Interactions:

Internal

• Branches, Cards Business Team, Operations Risk, Call Centre, Vault Unit, RTB cards, ATM channels, IT, Corporate Banking, Cards marketing and HR etc.

External

• Visa / MasterCard / Diners, Cb's co-branders/ joint ventures, QCB etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of VISA, MasterCard, Dinners, chargeback processing.
• MS Office proficient.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Academic Degree: Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent

Professional Certification: NA

Required Experience:

2+ years' relevant experience.

• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Arabic speaking preferred
