We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Associate Procurement Specialist II to support critical sourcing, purchasing, subcontract administration, and supplier management activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for procurement professionals who enjoy collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program teams while driving supplier performance, managing contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of essential materials and services. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to navigate complex procurement processes in support of business and production objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Procure critical components, materials, equipment, and services that support manufacturing and operational requirements.
  • Manage assigned suppliers, commodities, and subcontracts to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program teams.
  • Create, issue, and administer various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), and other procurement agreements.
  • Lead supplier selection activities, including sourcing evaluations, cost and price analysis, fact-finding, and supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor supplier commitments and proactively ensure compliance with delivery schedules.
  • Follow up with suppliers to identify and resolve potential delivery issues before they affect production timelines.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions, amendments, and procurement-related agreements, including End User License Agreements (EULAs).
  • Interpret engineering specifications, technical requirements, and component documentation to support accurate procurement decisions.
  • Maintain procurement documentation and records in compliance with company procedures, policies, and applicable FAR requirements.
  • Support procurement compliance efforts through purchase order file reviews and peer documentation audits.
  • Participate in departmental and enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement performance and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or subcontract management experience, OR
  • Graduate degree with 0-2 years of related experience, OR
  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of purchasing experience within an ERP/MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience conducting supplier negotiations and managing procurement activities.
  • Experience supporting government contracting or FAR-regulated purchasing environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of procurement contracts, terms and conditions, subcontract administration, and commercial agreements.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation, technical specifications, and product configuration management.
  • Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations.
