    About the Opportunity

    Our client is an entrepreneurial lower middle market investment firm focused on acquiring and growing founder-owned businesses across a range of industries. The team is seeking a highly analytical Senior Associate to play a critical role in evaluating, executing, and managing control investments.

    This position offers significant transaction responsibility, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and a clear path toward advancement within a growing investment platform.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities
    • Build and maintain detailed acquisition, operating, and returns models
    • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, working capital, and business performance
    • Prepare investment memorandums and investment committee materials
    • Manage and coordinate financial, legal, tax, commercial, and operational diligence processes
    • Lead interactions with advisors, lenders, and third-party diligence providers
    • Conduct industry, market, customer, and competitive research
    • Identify investment risks, develop downside scenarios, and challenge key assumptions
    • Support transaction structuring, financing, documentation, closing, and post-close initiatives
    • Assist with portfolio company reporting and value creation efforts

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, or a similar transaction-focused role
    • Strong preference for candidates with lower middle market buyout experience
    • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
    • Strong accounting and financial statement analysis capabilities
    • Ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written communication, organization, and attention to detail
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to work within a lean, growing investment platform
    • Demonstrated interest in long-term career progression within private equity
