Description

The Senior Associate Athletics Director serves as a strategic member of the senior administrative team, working closely with the Director of Athletics to position BU Athletics for success in a rapidly evolving college athletics landscape.

 

  • Provides visionary oversight for student-athlete welfare, which includes academic, leadership, career development and performance & wellness initiatives.
  • Oversees and directs all academic, compliance, social and community related activities for student-athletes.
  • Develops and implements leadership, mentoring and career development programs for student-athletes, coaches and staff. 
  • Serves as Deputy Title IX coordinator. 
  • Serves as liaison to multiple on campus units, including but not limited to the Dean of Students, Admissions, Equal Opportunity Office, and wellness services.
  • Works closely with other members of the senior team and respective units to ensure that the objectives of the Director are accomplished.
  • Serves as sport administrator for assigned programs.


Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required. Master's Degree and at least eight years of administrative experience at a Division 1 level college/university is preferred.
