Underwriting Support Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist who will join our client's team that plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting team by managing new business applications, renewal processes, and maintaining compliance. This position involves processing documents, running statistical reports, and preparing monthly reports to assist underwriter managers in identifying business opportunities. The specialist also maintains procedure manuals and ensures accurate rate classifications.

Location: Broomfield, CO 80021

Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - Hybrid/Onsite 3 Days in Office

Compensation: $24.30 Max

Responsibilities:

Application Management:

  • Enter new business applications, initiate renewal processes, process term letters, and distribute applications to support the underwriting process.

Compliance Review:

  • Review correspondences, records, and reports on routine matters to ensure compliance.

Statistical Reporting:

  • Assist in running pre-defined statistical reports on new business and renewal applications to inform underwriter managers.

Document Processing:

  • Process, scan, and electronically file documents for easy access and review.

Report Preparation:

  • Prepare monthly renewal and anniversary reports for managers to identify new and existing business opportunities.

Procedure Manual Maintenance:

  • Maintain the procedure manual to help the team determine rate classifications and assign rates to pending applications.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Typically, 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in an underwriting or insurance environment.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\

  • Basic understanding of underwriting processes and compliance requirements.

  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.

Pay Details: $24.30 per hour
