The Office of Admissions at CU Boulder invites applications for a Senior Assistant Director of Slate! This position reports to the Associate Director of Systems and Technology and maintains the undergraduate instance of the Technolutions Slate system for the Office of Admissions.
This position directly supervises a team of four advanced Slate administrators and is responsible for their ongoing performance management, development, and support. This role balances staff leadership with operational oversight, including coaching team members, coordinating priorities, and supporting an effective and engaged team.
As a member of the Admissions Operations leadership team, this position collaborates closely with the Associate Director of Systems and Technology to lead the Slate Team in designing, building, and implementing CRM solutions. This includes overseeing collaboration to develop new functionality, establishing timelines, guiding process development, and ensuring appropriate testing, documentation, and training.
The Senior Assistant Director provides functional leadership across core admissions systems and processes, including event and portal management, query and workflow development, web interface design, communications, application management and document management, data integration, and system optimization.
This position partners with a portfolio of constituents across campus to understand business needs, recommend scalable solutions, and develop efficient processes that support mission-critical university goals. The role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, operational oversight, and staff leadership. This role requires an individual who can effectively balance staff leadership with technical expertise while leading work through others. The role requires current, hands-on experience with Slate administration to effectively lead day-to-day system operations and staff work.
