About the Role
Boston University Admissions seeks a Senior Assistant Director for Admissions Ambassadors. This role manages the recruitment, selection, training, supervision and retention of eight student coordinators and 150 student ambassadors (tour guides) responsible for introducing almost 75,000 visitors annually to the Admissions Reception Center and Boston University Campus. The Senior Assistant Director also recruits, selects, and trains 24 Summer Student Admissions Representatives (SARs). The Senior Assistant Director assists the Associate Director for On-campus Recruitment at the Admissions Reception Center in establishing standards and managing the training and work of Admissions Ambassadors and summer SARs to ensure all visitors receive an exceptional campus visit experience. During the fall semester this position typically works four weekend days and 5-7 weeknights after 5 pm (usually just an hour each from 5-6 pm). During the spring semester this position typical works 2-3 weekend days and 5-7 weeknights after 5 pm (again, usually just an hour each from 5-6 pm).
The Senior Assistant Director works closely with the four other staff members based at the Visitor's Center, with recruitment staff based at our office at 881 Commonwealth Avenue and partners in each of the academic divisions of the University.
