Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior AS400 Developer for a long-term contract opportunity based in King of Prussia, PA.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with IBM i (AS400) development, RPG programming, database technologies, and production support within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain and enhance applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment.
  • Design, code, test and troubleshoot applications using RPG, RPGLE and CL.
  • Work with DB2/400 and SQL/400 for database development and optimisation.
  • Provide production support, investigate issues, and implement effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements.
  • Support application maintenance, enhancements, and ongoing system stability.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years' experience in IBM i / AS400 development.
  • Strong hands-on programming skills in RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
  • Solid experience with DB2/400 and SQL/400.
  • Proven experience providing production support and troubleshooting complex applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within an established technical environment.

Additional Information:
  • Applicants must be based in the Philadelphia / King of Prussia area and available to work onsite five days per week.
  • The interview process includes two virtual interviews followed by a final face-to-face interview.
  • Applicants must have valid US work authorisation. OPT candidates cannot be considered.
