    Description

We just created a new brand. Now comes the fun part.

Amazon Leo is looking for a Senior Art Director to help bring our new global brand to life. We've got an incredible creative playground: Krypton Purple, Aurora particles, Golden Hour gradients, bold typography, rockets, satellites, and a whole universe of stories waiting to be told.

We're looking for someone with exceptional taste, big ideas, and the craft to bring them to life. From global campaigns and illustrations to branded merchandise and digital experiences, you'll help push our visual identity into new places, experiment with AI and emerging creative tools, and build the systems that help our brand scale around the world. Come make some outrageously cool stuff.

    Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Art Director, you'll help shape the next chapter of Amazon Leo's visual identity. You'll take our brand into new places, from global campaigns and digital experiences to illustrations, branded merchandise, and physical environments.

You'll work alongside a talented team of Creative Directors, designers, producers, and storytellers who love great ideas and care deeply about craft. We're looking for someone with a distinct creative point of view, exceptional design instincts, and the confidence to bring fresh ideas to the table. Someone who can challenge conventions while embracing the brand we've built, finding new ways to evolve and scale an established visual system without losing what makes it special.

This is a hands-on creative leadership role. You'll own projects from concept through execution, experiment with emerging tools and technologies, and help raise the bar for design across our global organization.

We want someone who can think big, obsess over the details, collaborate without ego, and make work that's as ambitious as the technology behind it.

    A day in the life

Your morning starts with a new creative challenge. Maybe it's a campaign for a rocket launch, an illustration that makes satellite technology look cool, or a completely unexpected use of our Aurora particles. You've got Krypton, Golden Hour, and a whole brand system to play with. Now make something great.

After lunch, you're debating jacket designs with a Creative Director, experimenting with AI, or building Figma tools that help our global teams move faster without making everything look the same.

Some days you're sketching big ideas. Others you're obsessing over typography, refining an illustration, or finding a new way to bring Krypton to life. That's the fun part.

    About the team

We're the creative team behind Amazon Leo, bringing a new global brand to life.

We're a team of Creative Directors, designers, producers, editors, and storytellers who love great ideas and care deeply about craft. We work on everything from global brand campaigns and documentaries to product storytelling, social content, and branded merchandise.

We believe in big ideas, healthy debate, and getting our hands dirty. We love beautiful design, great storytelling, and the little details that make good work great. We're not afraid to experiment, challenge each other, or try something completely new.

We've built the brand. Now we get to show the world what it can do. And we're just getting warmed up.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
