Senior Architectural BIM SpecialistReports: Director, Architectural, Engineering & TechnologiesPrepared: August 2026Status: Exempt Position SummaryThe Senior Architectural BIM Specialist supports both project-specific architectural drawing production and the development of Transwall's BIM content ecosystem. This senior individual-contributor role serves as the primary Revit resource within AET, creating project drawings, managing Revit families, and supporting internal and external users of Transwall BIM content.Working closely with Engineering, this position translates engineering product information into architect-friendly BIM resources while keeping Transwall's Revit library accurate, current, and aligned with industry best practices.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreation of detailed drawing packages based on A&D supplied space plansDevelop details, elevations, and plans to support the sales processProvide product take-offs / bill of material listsPrepare lists of deviations between contract documents and shop drawingsManage all aspects of project submittalsProvide in-depth product technical support to all other departments including product application and design guidelinesCollaborate with Clients, Sales, Project Management and Engineering to ensure project accuracyBIM & Revit Content ManagementDevelop, maintain, and organize Transwall's internal and external Revit family libraryCreation and maintenance of Autodesk Revit families for current and new products for both internal and A&D useRevit Leadership & Support Support fellow AET Team members with Revit software inquiriesCreate and maintain BIM standards, documentation, and user guidesIdentify opportunities to improve drawing efficiency, consistency, and BIM adoptionRevit Leadership & Support Support fellow AET Team members with Revit software inquiriesCreate and maintain BIM standards, documentation, and user guidesIdentify opportunities to improve drawing efficiency, consistency, and BIM adoptionQualificationsArchitectural / Engineering / Design degree or equivalent level of experience5+ years of professional experience producing native Revit Families and 3D ModelingAdvanced Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and computer skillsStrong understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and architectural documentation. Architectural glazing systems, demountable floor-to-ceiling wall products experience desiredAble to read and understand architectural drawing packages and bid specifications including door and hardware schedulesFamiliar with structural and environmental (reflected ceilings, lighting, sprinklers, and HVAC) building systemsKnowledge of ADA (American Disabilities Act) guidelines as applies to building designRequirementsHighly organized self-starter and independent workerGood communication skills with all levels of the organizationDetail oriented.
