This includes Environmental, Education, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Energy.
Description:
Immediate need for a Senior Architect with considerable professional experience in municipal and public schools, including a proven record of leadership and a portfolio of successful projects.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of architectural plans and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with building codes, zoning, and company standards.
- Manage a project from start to finish including scope reports, design development, creating a complete set of construction documents and specifications.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback to design teams to facilitate necessary revisions.
- Collaborate with other architects and engineers, to address and resolve issues.
- Conduct required on-site and MS Teams meetings for projects under construction with the SCA rep, school principals, and contractors.
Qualifications:- 7+ years of experience as an Architect and Designer
- In depth knowledge of NYC and nearby building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
- Experience with the NYC SCA desired
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- AutoCAD proficiency a MUST! Revit desired
Education:
Bachelor of Architecture (BS Arch; B. Arch, MS Arch, etc.) required.
