Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client to find a Senior Architect with 6-10+ years of experience to lead the design of enterprise-scale solutions that drive digital transformation. This Senior Architect will operate strategically, shaping technology direction and safeguarding architectural integrity across the organization. The focus centers on cross-domain leadership, architectural governance, and long-term sustainability of technology investments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct architecture governance activities such as design reviews, exception management, and architectural decision records, ensuring consistency, quality, security, and resiliency across all initiatives
  • Advance and refine architectural standards, patterns, and best practices organization-wide
  • Shape domain- and portfolio-level technology roadmaps in alignment with broader business strategy
  • Deliver strategic guidance on modernization efforts, platform adoption, cloud strategy, and technical debt reduction
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption paths that balance innovation, risk, and business value
  • Navigate complex integration scenarios, data consistency challenges, and cross-domain dependencies alongside enterprise and data architects to ensure scalability and interoperability
  • Act as a trusted architectural advisor to IT and business leadership, mediating architectural conflicts and navigating tradeoffs
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams, cultivating a culture of thoughtful design, thorough documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6-10 years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise systems, or technical leadership
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms, security, and enterprise integration
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex, large-scale solutions
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with sharp problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity in complex environments
  • Skilled in negotiation, influence, and conflict resolution across diverse teams and organizational levels
  • Strong presentation and active listening abilities with the emotional intelligence to build trust, foster psychological safety, and drive consensus

Compensation

$135,000-$160,000 per year - Dependent on fit and experience.
